Journal of Gorontalo Economic Review is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal. Each submitted manuscript is evaluated by at least two reviewers with relevant expertise to ensure quality, originality, and suitability for the journal's coverage.

The peer review process is carried out in the following 9 steps:

1. Submission of Paper
   The author of the correspondence or the writer who submits the paper submits the paper through the online system (OJS). To assist authors, email submissions are temporarily accepted.

2. Editorial Office Assessment
   The editorial team ensures the paper's suitability in relation to the journal's focus and scope, adheres to the format guidelines, and demonstrates adequate quality and originality. Manuscripts that pass this stage will be checked for plagiarism using Turnitin.

3. Appraisal by the Editor-in-Chief
   The Editor-in-Chief will evaluate the feasibility of the manuscript for peer review based on its contribution, originality, and relevance. Otherwise, the manuscript may be rejected.

4. Invitation to Reviewers
   Selected based on the subject's expertise and the absence of a conflict of interest. The double-blind process ensures that neither the author nor the reviewer knows the other's identity.

5. Response to Invitations
   Invited reviewers can accept or decline invitations based on availability and relevance. A rejection may be filed to suggest an alternative reviewer.

6. Review is Conducted
   Reviewers assess the manuscript and provide detailed comments and recommendations: accept, reject, or request revision (major/minor). Reviews are submitted to the editor.

7. Journal Evaluates the Reviews
   The Editor-in-Chief and the managing editor assess feedback from the reviewers to reach the final decision. If the reviews conflict, additional reviewers may be consulted.

8. The Decision is Communicated
   A decision letter is sent to the author of the correspondence, including comments from anonymous reviewers. Reviewers will be informed of the results.

9. Final Steps
   If accepted, the manuscript will be edited. If revisions are needed, authors are expected to revise and resubmit them. Revised manuscripts can be reassessed by the same reviewer or by editors.

Once completed, the article is published online and is available free of charge as a downloadable PDF.
